Hello everyone.
I'm going to be in Bloomington next year and will most likely rush since I am OOS and looking to have a good social life. I also plan to be involved in extracurricular clubs and intramural sports. With that being said, I take my grades extremely seriously (will be in Kelley) and don't plan to go out more than once or twice a week. Additionally, the whole concept of hazing is relatively intimidating and I was hoping someone here could spread some truth about which fraternities actually haze and which do not? I understand that there will be some concept of hazing among most frats, however, I'm looking to steer clear of the serious ones. In your opinions, which frats would best suit someone looking to succeed academically and have a good amount of fun on the weekend? I promise I'm not a prude or anything, just looking for accurate information because there are so many prejudices regarding Greek Life at IU! Right now, I'm looking strongly at FIJI, SAE, and Sigma Phi Epsilon...
