I have a 4.0 weighted GPA and a 1350 combined SAT score, falling just 10 points short of the requirement to be a direct admit into Kelley. I didn't have any real circumstances causing me to not reach the required score. I petitioned soon after I got admitted to IU and was wondering what my chances are of being a direct admit. I was also wondering when they might notify me. Thank you

Anyone know what the deal is with these SSA's? Anybody know about how many applicants get money from them and what the average amount is? Seems like an awful lot of work (mini research paper, with resources cited), among other things): are they worth the effort, particularly for OOS? Think D can just use the same references from the Common App?

I have got into the kelley school at IUPUI as a direct admit which i wanted . I did not have the stats to enter bloomington as a direct admit so I applied to IUPUI so I really need to know whether there is a big difference between the two colleges.

When should I expect a desicion
I submitted my application on Oct 14, but my counselor sent out my transcripts on the 31st and they matched them on nov 9th. I called them and they said since I sent my transcripts on the 31st I'm fine on the deadline. It's been a couple weeks and I haven't heard anything yet while everyone else is getting desicions. Does anyone know what we are supposed to put for the honors received section? Do they really want us to list out the honors from our common app into the SSA again? Also how selective are the selective scholarships? If you didn't apply for them early is your shot at getting them pretty much 0%?

Best Dorms for Sophomore? Tips for Off-Campus?
DD thought she had a good roommate choice for moving off-campus, but the other young lady has struggled with the transition to the Bloomington campus and has just decided to attend school in her hometown next year. We are left with rapidly closing windows for both on-campus and off-campus offerings.
The RPS office has stated they've frozen their systems until spring semester, while they make the assignments from the applications that were made during the fall. Not sure what will be available when they open back up. The best answer I could get was "dorms that aren't open to freshmen." Any recommendations for good dorms in the Northwest or Central neighborhoods for a sophomore who's tired of the communal bath and the triple suite?
The off-campus apartment gig is a complete unknown to us. What are some tips for narrowing down the options, assuming there are many options left? Any complexes or areas to avoid?

D in AP Calc......rescind??????
Hello
I currently have an F in my AP Calculus (Independent Study) class but will be bringing it up to a D.
It's a class I don't need in order to graduate with honors and it's too late to drop the class now.
I have As and Bs in all my other classes.
My unweighted GPA is 3.6 and weighed is 3.8 (not so sure about weighed)
Anyways, I just want to make sure my admission won't be rescinded.

I have some other great ecs that include volunteer hours through my church, as well as some other programs and groups.
Essay: Good, spent a lot of time on it and talked about how I support myself through my job. I pay for insurance, gas, my car, food, with little to no help, excluding my house of course.
Income bracket: 100k+ will get zero financial aid
I am an awful test taker and it is obvious my bad act score will hurt my chances... Is there still hope?
I also have other safeties if this turns out to be a bust.

I'm a freshman desiring to live in the NW neighborhood come next year. From my understanding, you can only choose which neighborhood (not the residence) you prefer. I'm only asking because I would strongly like Briscoe opposed to McNutt or Collins. Also, since most freshman apply to NW, is there a greater chance I get put into SE if NW fills up too quickly? Choosing a Dorm at IU
I'm a little stuck on choosing a dorm at IU. The whole selection process seems kind of intimidating- everyone on the IU Schools app seems to already know exactly where they want to live, while I"m feeling a little "uneducated," if you will.
So my question, for those of you more experienced in residential life- I'm a Kelley DA looking to be involved in student government and uninterested in Greek Life. I prefer to stay close to my classes, in an area that is more academics oriented without being an "academic floor" or the LLC. I really just want to figure out what I'm doing by the time housing applications roll out. Any suggestions?

Thoughts on Kelley?
Hi there, I was recently accepted as a Kelley Direct Admit, and I would like to hear some student perspectives on the program. I'm not sure if I will go to Indiana yet but it is a top choice for me. I have these two specific questions, but if you're a Kelley student please share any overall thoughts you have on the program.
1. How is the academic rigor? I have heard that Kelley is very academically demanding, especially I-Core. Would I be able to have a social life at IU as a Kelley student, or are Kelley students bogged down with classwork all the time?
2. Does anyone have any insights on the Real Estate major or the Real Estate Club? I am very interested in real estate so I wanted to know how I could explore that within Kelley.
